Dear Bill,
I want to thank you for the level of comfort you have provided to me for the care of my husband, Charles, who has Alzheimer’s. When my dad had this same dreaded disease years ago, Charlie and I took care of him at home and getting and keeping reliable, competent, personable home health aides was always a challenge. Years later, when mom needed around-the-clock care, we were fortunate (after considerable trial and error) to find a wonderful live-in who stayed with us for 3 years. Shortly after mom’s death, we were devastated to find that Charlie had acquired the same horrible disease and was forced to retire from his long-time professorship. As with Mom and Dad, I am dedicated to taking care of Charlie at home, but this time it is even more a challenge because I no longer have Charlie as an active partner in doing what needs to be done.
At first, we were able to re-employ the fantastic aide we had for mom, but Charlie, being a big and increasingly unsteady guy, quickly became too much for her to handle in terms of keeping him safe and secure. We decided we needed a male aide, which I was soon to find out was not easy to find. My luck changed the day I stumbled across your organization, One Call Homecare and as soon as I talked to you I felt much better.
You promised me you would find several people for me to interview and you were good to your word. Further, you participated in the interviews and acted as my Case Manager, all at a cost the same or below what I was paying privately. When Charlie needed physical therapy, you facilitated that.
I particularly feel secure knowing that you are available 24/7 and whenever I have any type of problem, I only have to pick up the phone and you are there for me! I hope you know how comforting that is to your clients. Your measure of personal service does much to alleviate the stress that comes with taking care of a family member! I no longer feel like I am in this stressful situation alone. You are there for me when I have problems as well as when things are going well. The service that you provide is exceptional and it is easy to see why you have built up your strong relationships with your providers and clients over the years. A business as sensitive as home health care is built on integrity, trust, and dependability, all of which you have in abundance. I have begun to think of you as a friend, and I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all that you have done for us. Please feel free to use me as a reference at any time. I would be happy to share the good news with others who are looking for assistance in managing their health care challenges.
With kindest regards,
